feminism is weird.

because it’s turned into this weird negative thing when all we originally wanted was equality.

and now…

well, it’s reputation isn’t good.

i am a feminist, but that doesn’t mean i hate men, or weak women.

what bothers me most is ignorance.

when people are absolutely convinced that genders have equality.

especially when that person is a female and they don’t even know that they’re being oppressed.

the expectations put on women and the ideas that are forced upon us, that we believe are normal and true because they have been around for so long, are unfair and unjust.

and we need to do something to fix that.

i just realized something

some of my best childhood memories happened in my cousin’s house down in southern alberta

and i distinctly remember that while me and kerstin ran around and played games and dress up and found kittens and played on the trampoline my brother and my cousin alex would sit on the computer and play games

earth worm jim to be specific

the amount of earth worm jim they played astounded me

but anyway my brother found a really cheap version of it in the playstation store

and we all got really excited because like… childhood memories and stuff

and then we all played it and it was really anticlimactic and it sucked
